1. Hanna used to admit what she did and deny what she didn’t immediately. Then why did she admitted having written the report but she actually didn’t? (p.132) 2. Why did the ending of the trail is the beginning for Michael? (p.137) 3. Why didn’t Michael believe his father? (p.144)
Part2 Chapter 10 On Sundays,Michael took off by himself, because the days in court gave him a new hunger for the color and smells of nature. He have rediscovered the place in the woods where Hanna's secret became clear to him.He made a conclusion that Hanna could neither read and write. Then, everything seemed to have an answer. He started to confuse and think why Hanna would rather opt for the horrible exposure as a criminal then as an illiterate.Michael was oddly moved by thr discrepancy between what must have been Hanna's actual concerns when she left his hometown and what he had imagined and theorized at the time.He then made another conclusion that if he was not guilty because one cannot be guilty of betrarying a criminal, but he was guilty of having loved a criminal. Part2 Chapter 11 Once Hanna admitted having written the report, she pushed herself into a dangerous situation.Every accuse was pointed to Hanna, because incomparison with the other defendants,Hanna was the dominate one.She kept struggling. She admitted what was true and disputed what was not.Eventually she gave up.She spoke only when asked a direct question and her answer were short, minimal, sometimes beside the points.Michael was struggling, too. He was wandering whether he sould tell the truth to the judge and convince him, then Hanna would be punish less severely. He also considerated that though that was what Hanna had been fighting for,she was not willing to earn victory at the price of exposure as an illiterate. He started tried to talk about the situation with friends with metaphor.
Part2 Chapter 12 Finally Michael decided to visit his father,a professor of philosophy. His father told him that adults should decide what is best for their own situation, and if ane knows what is good for another person who in turn is blind to it,then one must try to open his eyes.Michael realized that he must to make a decision.
